Purpose of the Processing:
The purpose of processing your personal data is to add you to our candidate pool and manage your application for employment at Magna. Magna uses TalentEI and the Employ Intelligence platform to facilitate the application process.

Art. 6 (1a) GDPR, consent of the data subject for the above-mentioned purpose
Categories of Recipients:
Magna HR and IT personnel, service providers.
Within Magna, only those individuals who require your data for the purposes listed above have access to your data.
If Magna shares your personal data with service providers and/or other third parties (e.g. cooperation partners), this is done in compliance with the applicable data protection legislation. Regarding service providers, this is based on corresponding data-processing agreements within Article 28 GDPR; this means that the service providers undertake to process the personal data solely on our behalf and according to our instructions. We also require our service providers to comply with technical and organizational measures that ensure the protection of personal data.
Service providers that are used by Magna and receive data include:
- Platform provider;
- IT service providers.
Data Transfer to Third Countries:
The Controller may transfer your personal data also to recipients that have their registered seat in a country outside of the EU/EEA. To ensure an adequate level of protection for your personal data, Magna concludes EU standard data protection clauses with such recipients, if the data protection regulations of such third country have not been recognized as commensurate by the EU commission, or if we transfer your personal data for the performance of a contract according to Article 49 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR. In addition, to the extent required by applicable data protection laws, further protective measures (e.g., encryption and additional contractual arrangements) will be taken to ensure an adequate level of protection for your personal data. A copy of the respective measure is available upon request.

Storage Duration:
Your personal data will be stored for the duration of one year from the time of your last activity in the system in case of unsolicited applications. If you are involved in a hiring decision, we retain your data for three years.
Data Subject Rights:
You can assert the following rights towards Magna by contacting the Controller at any time, generally free of charge.
Right of access: You have the right to receive from us information regarding the processing of your personal data. You may have the right to obtain a copy of the personal data that we process. For further copies requested, we may charge a reasonable fee calculated on the basis of the administrative costs.
Right of rectification: You have the right to request correction of incorrect or incomplete details of your personal data.
Right to erasure: You have the right to request deletion of your data if the conditions set out in Article 17 GDPR are met. Accordingly, for example, you can request deletion of your data if these data are no longer required for the purposes for which they were collected. You can also request deletion if we process your data on the basis of your consent and you withdraw this consent.
Right to restriction of processing: You have the right to request a restriction of the processing of your data if the conditions set out in Article 18 are met. This may be the case, for example, if you contest the accuracy of your data. In such cases, you can request that processing be restricted for the duration of the review concerning the accuracy of the data.
Right of withdrawal: As the data processing is based on consent, you have the right to revoke the data processing within the scope of consent with effect for the future at any time, free of charge.
Right of complaint: You also have the right to raise a complaint with us or at a competent regulatory body regarding our processing of your data.
Obligation to provide Personal Data:
You are not required to provide your personal data via the Employ Intelligence Platform.
Consequences of Non-provision:
If you choose not to provide your personal data for the purposes as described above, your application will not be routed via the Employ Intelligence Platform, and you will not be added to a candidate pool. In that case, your application has to be made via the alternative provided.
Automated Decision-making:
We use an automated decision-making process, involving a CAPTCHA system such as Cloudflare Turnstile, to protect the website from automated bots and ensure the security of our services. These systems analyze user behavior and interactions to distinguish between human users and bots. If the system identifies a user as a bot, access to certain parts of our website may be restricted.
Logic Involved
Cloudflare Turnstile works by evaluating various factors such as mouse movements, keystrokes, and other behavioral patterns to determine whether the user is a human or a bot. The system uses machine learning algorithms to analyze these interactions in real-time. If the system detects patterns that are typical of automated bots, it may restrict access to certain parts of our website. Conversely, if the system identifies patterns consistent with human behavior, the user will be granted access.
Significance and Consequences
The use of Cloudflare Turnstile is crucial for maintaining the security and integrity of our website. If the system incorrectly identifies a human user as a bot, access to certain parts of our website may be temporarily restricted. Users who experience difficulties can contact our support team for assistance.
